Using annual resort-by-resort carbon audits as a starting point, Powdr embarks on new ways to cut carbon emissions and save energy at our properties every year. Much of the more obvious projects have been completed. We are now tackling the more intensive initiatives, including:

• 1 lighting retrofit
• 6 snowmaking system upgrades
• Purchased equipment for power factor studies
• Lodge window replacement
• 2 insulation projects
• 1 air door project
• Building monitoring system
• Upgrade from heating oil to propane
• Another cardboard baler
• Energy Star rated appliance
• Wind power to offset 100% electricity use
