Powdr Corp. purchases enough Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) to offset 100 percent of the electricity use of all our resorts. This purchase of nearly 50 million kWh of RECs is the second largest among the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) partners in the travel and leisure category and one of the top 20 purchasers of all corporations in the US that purchase 100 percent renewable energy.

In 2009 Powdr Corp. became the largest purchaser of renewable energy among the U.S. EPA partners in the travel and leisure category and moved up to number 15 of all corporations in the US that purchase 100 percent renewable energy. Powdr Corp. has purchased over 109 million kWh's of renewable energy over the past 5 years.

Powdr Corp received a Green Power Leadership Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), which recognizes Powdr for their commitment and contribution to helping advance the development of the nation's voluntary green market. Powdr Corp was one of only nine organizations to receive this award nationwide.
